Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern, positive orientated treatment that uses the most up to date research in brain therapy blended with hypnosis. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy focuses on the present and the future rather than the past, and looks for the solutions rather than the problems.

At The Hypnotherapy Hut we won’t ever tell you what to do, instead we can guide you through your own personal journey to help you get to wherever you want to be.
You only need to share what you’re comfortable sharing. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is not an analytical type of therapy. We would rather you concentrate on where you want to be rather than picking apart what has already happened in your life.
Hypnosis is just like being in a daydream. Our trance work replicates the same trance you experience several times a day all by yourself. This is where your mind wanders while being busy with an everyday task – perhaps when you boil the kettle, or when you’re out for a walk, or trying to read a book. When we’re in this state our mind is focused on one thing and our body is completely relaxed. When we induce hypnosis during a session you will feel very calm and peaceful, some people describe feeling heavy or having a tingling sensation in their hands or feet, all of which is normal and fine – we are all different!
No. It is impossible to get you to do anything you are not comfortable with as you are always in complete control. Your subconscious brain will only ever carry out suggestions that feel comfortable and acceptable to you and your values. We only ever make positive suggestions during trance work, and any that your mind deems irrelevant to you, it will simply ignore.

To start your Solution Focused Hypnotherapy journey you need to book an Initial Consultation – this can be done over the phone, or via our booking system here. This usually takes up to 90 minutes and is where we’ll talk about how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help you, we discuss what you’d like to achieve by working together, along with doing some Psychotherapy by looking at how the brain works which will give you further insight. You’ll be given an MP3 or CD to listen to every night which will greatly aid your progress.
From here, sessions will usually be weekly and approximately 50 minutes long with a 50/50 focus on Psychotherapy and Hypnosis.
Everyone is different and we are all unique, so what is right for one person is not right for another. Our Stop Smoking sessions are offered as a one off 2.5 hour session. Phobia’s can be dealt with between 4-12 sessions depending on the type of phobia it is. Most other conditions tend to take between 8-12 sessions. In comparison to most other talking therapies, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy provides extremely quick results.
